How to Identify a Replacement Dust Collector Filter Cartridge

When ordering a replacement cartridge, start with the cartridge part number and dust collector model. Photograph both labels if they are still readable. They help narrow the search, but the physical details still need checking before a replacement is confirmed.

Check the dimensions and end caps

Measure the outside diameter, inside opening and overall length. State whether the length includes the gasket. For oval cartridges, record both axes rather than a single diameter.

Take clear photos of both ends. Show any centre hole, flange, mounting lug or threaded connection, and note whether each end is open or closed. Include the gasket position and dimensions, since these affect how the cartridge mounts and seals.

If you are measuring a used cartridge, mention any damage or distortion that could affect the readings.

Confirm the media separately

Colour alone cannot reliably identify the filter media or its treatment. Use the original specification where available, including any membrane, fine-fibre layer, flame-retardant or conductive requirement.

If the media is unknown, provide the dust type and operating conditions rather than guessing from appearance.

Before ordering, compare the dimensions, mounting, seal and media specification together. A cartridge with the same outside dimensions may still have a different fitting or be unsuitable for the process.

Send Verlofy the old cartridge photos, part number, collector model and measured dimensions for review. When the label is missing, clear views of both ends are particularly useful. Browse our dust collector filter cartridges for available product types.
